2022 Albion Rovers FC Presentation Night - U12 to Seniors

Dear Members,

It is that time of year where we wind down, let our hair down and come together as a club to celebrate season 2022 at Presentation night on Saturday October 8 at the North Cyprus Turkish Community Centre of Victoria in Albion from 6.30pm till late. 

This is our opportunity to acknowledge our many players and their efforts throughout the year. It is also a time that we say thank you to the many volunteers whom without, the club could not run, as well as thank our wonderful partners whom without, the club would not exist.

Please note it is important that all players (U12 to Seniors), coaches and parents attend the night as we will be handing out trophies and individual awards to recognise the efforts of our players. 

Tickets are $65 ($40 for children under 11) include 3 course meal, soft drinks, music and trophies for our players. There will also be a raffle and auction on the night with some special memorabilia up for grabs.  

Please note - all children must be accompanied by at least one guardian or parent on the night.

Please speak to any committee at the club to secure your ticket/s, or contact the club via email at info@albionroversfc.com.au if you have any further questions.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank each and every player, parent, volunteer and partners for their contribution in season 2022 and we look forward to making some exciting announcements about season 2023 in the coming weeks.

Dear Members,

The club invites all existing players, coaches and parents to the Albion Rovers Mini-Rovers (u7 to u11) presentation day to be held at the club on Sunday September 25 from 10am.  

This is our opportunity to acknowledge our many players and coaches for their efforts throughout the year. It is also a time that we say thank you to the many volunteers whom without, the club could not run, as well as thank our wonderful partners whom without, the club would not exist.

Please note it is important that all players (U7 to U11), coaches and parents attend the day as we will be handing out trophies and individual awards to recognise the efforts of our young players. 

The event is free for all to attend. The club canteen will be opened as normal, there will also be a raffle run on the day and games organised for our kids.

Team managers, coaches and parents please ensure you arrive in the clubroom at least 15 mins before your schedule time:

10.00am - U7, U8, U9 Trophy presentation follow by U8 vs U9 match

11.00am - U10, U11 Trophy presentation follow by U10 vs U11 match

Please note - the club will also be accepting Season 2023 registrations. We are requiring a minimum $200 deposit if you would like to secure your children/s place for next year, otherwise they will enter the trial selection period in 2023 with all new players.

Last One Standing 2022

Albion Rovers FC invites all club members, family and friends to Last One Standing.

Please join us in attending our annual Last One Standing fundraiser event to be held at the club on Saturday 27 August, 2022.

For those that have never attended, the night is filled with fun, food and friends coming together to raise much needed funds for our great club. The LOS event rules are simple – purchase any number of tickets to enter the draw and if your number is the last one to be drawn out you win the major prize!

The event is also a great opportunity for you all to mix with other club members as well as the club committee who work tirelessly all year to ensure our youth and seniors take to the field every week. We encourage you to bring along family and friends and participate for what is always an interesting evening.

Tickets can be purchased in person at the club from a member of the committee.

$60 per person includes:

  • Entry to major draw

  • Food and soft drinks (alcohol at bar prices)

We look forward to seeing you all there and helping to make this an enjoyable night!

 

RULES:

  • Numbered balls are placed into a small barrel to be drawn one by one.

  • Balls are drawn out randomly throughout the night.

  • If you ball is the last one left you are the winner of the major prize!

  • Participants that exit the draw will have the opportunity to re-enter at various stages of the draw by purchasing another ticket.

  • Participants who make it to the final 3 may negotiate between them to share the major and/or runner prize.

  • Prize money is subject to change and dependant on ticket sales.

Albion Soccer Mum's is Back!

Albion Soccer Mum's is Back!

After last years’ success, we are proud to announce that our Albion Soccer Mum’s fund raiser event is back for 2019. The club will be hosting an event to raise much needed funds for this years’ selected charity - the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Last year we raised over $1500 dollars for the MS foundation and our Soccer Mum’s have already started preparations for an even bigger event this year.

The day will be filled with fun including a raffle, BBQ, memorabilia items and other activities all featured around our main event the ‘Albion Soccer Mum’s 6’s Tournament.’ . The feature event will include teams of 6 woman playing in a round robin tournament on the main pitch at Cairnlea Park.

We invite all members, families, friends and volunteers to come along and participate for this good cause.

This year Albion Rovers FC celebrates its 50th Anniversary, a significant millstone in the club’s rich history. 

The club will be hosting a Gala Dinner night on the 6th of July and invites all past and present members, players, committee, volunteers and sponsors to attend. 

The night will be a relaxing evening in honour our club and people. It is a great opportunity to catch up with old friends, meet new ones, share stories and go through some historic memorabilia.

Background:

The club is proud of its rich history and this year we celebrate a significant milestone in our 50th Anniversary. 

Since 1969, Albion Rovers FC has provided football playing opportunities to people of all ages, gender and ability in the communities we have served. The club has been through significant change over the years including rebranding, location changes and many committee members who have all played a key role in directing the club to our home in Cairnlea today. In its prime, the club was renowned for producing many home grown players who stemmed through the junior ranks and went on to play in our Senior team or play at the highest level of football in Australia and aboard. The club has also witnessed many high profile players and coaches serve the club, some of which still involved in prominent roles in Football today. 

This night aims to honour the club’s rich history through sharing memorabilia, story telling, reminiscing with old friends, and will provide the opportunity to stop and reflect on all that has been. For these reasons, we invite everyone to attend, bring along your family and friends, have fun and help celebrate the contribution of past and present people who have helped shaped the club.

CAIRNLEA FC MENS SENIORS, RESERVES & U17s BBQ/TRIALS

Cairnlea FC wish to advise the following important dates to existing and new Men's Senior, Reserve and U17 players.


BBQ - MENS SENIORS, RESERVES & U17s

NOV 29 - 6.30-8.30pm

The Club will be hosting a BBQ get together prior to the commencement of pre-season. This is an opportunity for players to meet the coaching staff, hear about some exciting changes at the club, and begin preparations for the 2019 season.

RESERVE & U17 TRIALS

DEC 4, 6, 11, 13 - 6.30-8.30pm

The Club will be running trials for exisiting and new U17 and Reserve players for the coming 2019 season. All players are welcomed to attend this 2 week trial period. There are limited places in both the U17 and Reserve squads and only selected players will be invited back to commence pre-season training early next year. Players will be required to bring training gear, boots and runners.


SENIOR MEN'S PRE-SEASON TRAINING

DEC 4, 6, 11, 13 - 6.30-8.30pm

Our Senior Men's team will commence pre-season training for 2 weeks before breaking up for the holiday period. Please note there will be no trials for Senior players. Training will be via invitation only. Players will be required to bring training gear, boots and runners.

Cairnlea FC wish to advise the following important dates to existing and new players.

OPEN DAY - SUB-JUNIORS (U6-U12)

The Club will be open to accept deposits for all sub-junior (U6 to U12) teams boys and girls for the coming 2019 season. This is an opportunity to ask questions, provide any feedback and secure a place in your child’s team for next year. Details as follows:

Open Days: November 8, 13 & 15

Time: 6pm to 8pm

Deposit: $200 (to go towards fees)

JUNIOR TRIALS (U13-U16)

The Club will be running trials for all junior (U13 to U16) boys teams for the coming 2019 season. This is an opportunity for new and existing players to be assessed and secure a place for next year. Please note it is important that all players (U12 to Seniors), coaches and parents attend the night as we will be handing out trophies and individual awards to recognise the efforts of our players.

Members Recognition Round!

Cairnlea FC would like to take the opportunity to invite all club members, players, coaches, parents and volunteers to the club this Saturday from 1pm to celebrate you!

In recognition of our loyal members, Cairnlea FC have named round 18 of the Senior Men’s season as 'Member Recognition Round'. Our Senior Men’s team are having a thrilling season and are up against fellow promotion contenders Corio SC this Saturday. The boys need our full support with only a few games left of the season, and what better way to show it with all our members out in full force cheering the boys on.

The day will commence from 1pm with a free sausage sizzle proudly sponsored by Coles Supermarket and free coaching clinics for all ages. Our MiniRoos will have the opportunity to walk out with the Senior team at 3pm, as well as provide the half-time entertainment with inter-club games on the main pitch.

All members must present their club membership card to gain free entry to the senior game, as well as for free food and other activities.  

The game is building up to be one of the club's biggest games in recent times with a large crowd expected at our home in Cairnlea Park. So don't forget to wear your club colours and let our kids sing!

Cairnlea FC would like to thank each and every player, parent, coach and volunteers (past and present) who have worked hard throughout the year to ensure our club continues to run week to week.

Cairnlea FC Ladies Club - Get Fit Mondays!

Get fit, have fun and make make new friends!

The Cairnlea FC Ladies Club invite you to take part in our female only group fitness sessions every Monday night. The first session will commences every Monday night at 7pm - 8pm is open to all our females irrespective of age, ability or fitness level. It is a great opportunity for our soccer mums, sisters and friends to have fun while getting fit and meeting new friends. All ladies are welcome to come along for a gold coin donation (donation to the club!).

2018 Season Team Photo Night

Dear Players, Parents/Guardians,

The club has scheduled our 2018 Season Team Photo event for all Junior and Senior teams. The event will be held at the club on Wednesday 27 June, 2018 for all Junior teams and Thursday 28 June, 2018 for our Senior teams. Training on these nights will go ahead as normal with teams being called into the clubroom one at a time. 

Coaches/Team Managers please ensure your training sessions are organised accordingly and ensure your team is available in the clubroom at your team's scheduled time below. It is important all teams stick to their allocated time for the night to run as smooth as possible.  

Please ensure your players bring along all their full match day attire. 

Note - this is a compulsory event for all players, coaches and team managers. For those wanting to purchase, one package will be available at $31 which includes one team photo and one player portrait.
