2023 ALBION Rovers Sheniz Cup 2023
Albion Rover FC are pleased to announce the return of the Albion Rovers Sheniz Cup 2023. The tournament aims to acknowledge and raise awareness for mental health. One third of Australian young people report high or very high levels of psychological distress, and this has become prevalent in the post-covid era. We aim to create a fun, enjoyable tournament that is inclusive for all participants and parents.

Date: Saturday October 14
Entry fee: $300 per team
Location: Albion Rovers FC, 142A Furlong Rd, Cairnlea.
Teams:
Boys U7 to U12
Girls U9 and U13 only
Skill level: All Joeys & Wallabies teams accepted.

COmpetition Rules
The cup competition will follow the national Aldi MiniRoos playing format and rules for each age group from U8 to U12 - Rules.
Round Robin format, followed by Semis and Final.
U7s 4v4, 20 min halves, 5 min break.
U8s & U9s: 7v7, 20 min halves, 5 min break.
U10s, U11s & U12s: 9v9, 25 min halves, 5 min break.
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw.
In the event of equal point in the group stage, the team with greater goal difference, or should these be equal, the team with greater number of goals scored, or should these be equal, Penalty Kicks will take place, as per FV rules.
For Semis & Final, extra time of 2 x 5 minute halves will take place with sudden death elimination (golden goal) shall apply. If result remains tied after extra time, the match will be decided on Penalty Kicks, as per FV rules.
Team lists must be finalised and submitted one week prior to the commencement of the cup competition.
Maximum players per team: U7s (10), U8, U9s (12), U10s, U11s & U12s (14).
Teams must be entered in the same level as the fixtured season
All players required to have match day playing attire with numbers.
All players must be registered with team entering the tournament. Strictly NO guest players allowed.
Refs and other officials provided.
