RETURN TO TRAINING GUIDELINES
Dear Members,
Highlights:
All teams will be returning to training from Tuesday June 16, 2020
A revised training schedule will be in place in accordance with regulatory requirements
Football Victoria directive that ALL players must pay their fees and register through ‘Play football’ for insurance cover
We must follow all regulatory ‘return to play’ guidelines to commence training
Football Victoria’s priority is to safeguard the health and wellbeing of the football community during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Federal and Victorian State governments have announced a roadmap to cautiously reintroduce football in a staged approach. The first stage was a limited return to training, at the discretion of each club, from 18 May 2020. The second stage is an extension to the number of players who can train, effective from 1 June 2020. In line with Federal and Victorian State government guidance, the committee have outlined conditions that must be met during this stage in order to commence training. Failure to meet these conditions may void your insurance policies under the national insurance program, may be dealt with under FV’s Grievance, Disciplinary and Tribunal Bylaw, and critically, may delay the return to competition.
Guidelines to commence training
The following general guidelines have been set by club in accordance with FV:
Football Victoria requires all players to pay their fees to clubs and register on the ‘Play Football’ to be covered by insurance.
Follow link to Play Football to register your child - note you will need your Play Football login details
Please arrange club payment via internet banking or direct deposit - see banking details at the bottom of the page
A single entry point ‘Drop zone’ will be established at the clubrooms for parents to drop their kids for training
A single exit point ‘Pick up zone’ will be established at the end of the two main pitches (Furlong Road side) - players will not be released until parents collect their children
Parents are encouraged to stay in their cars however parents wanting to watch training must adhere to social distance rules and are not permitted to enter any fields of play at all times
Upon entering the Drop zone, a club offical will record player details and take temperatures prior to entering the training field
